⚔ After the insanity of the comics she settled in NYC to deal with the Hellmouth there. Come on, you think all that crazy shit happens there for no reason? Just like Sunnydale and Cleveland, the Hellmouth in New York has to be guarded and maintained. Faith has settled in and gets a rotating squad of Slayers that come through either her or Buffy for training as judged by the new Watcher's Council before being given final assignments.

⚔ Giles gave her a bank account after coming back from the dead and she gave him his stuff back. It's got a lot of zeroes but she manages a bar on the side or hustles pool for cash. Mostly she runs a website called horrorishot.com that's like only fans for horror buffs. Pays the bills and makes a great cover when you get busted covered in blood and gore by the cops.

⚔ She travels on occasion for slaying jobs. It keeps the urge to run in check. And sometimes she gets a free vacation on the side.

⚔ Faith still has Daddy Issues but she's grown as a person in part thanks to her mentoring of the junior slayers. Even when they're a pain in her ass. The prison time helped, too.

⚔ She really just likes having people to snark to and geek about blades with. The sharp and shiny will forever be her true love. Katana? Cool. Stiletto? Cool. Bowie? Legend, and the knife is good too.

INCENTIVE: Faith is a fighter. There never seems to be a point or time in her life when she's not battling against something. Her inner demons, actual demons, witches, warlocks, vampires... you name it, she's likely fought it. In current canon she's up against a creature called Archaeus. He's an ancient demon lord who took her friend, and former protege Nadira, hostage. He's trying to connect with the Magic in Magic Town (created as a direct result of actions Faith took while helping Angel) and she feels responsible for the inhabitants, and the things that happen to them. If Archaeus were to connect with the Magic, untold lives would likely be lost. All in all? A really bad day for everyone involved. If there was a way to make sure he didn't get his evil mitts on it, and it were offered to her, she'd jump at the opportunity. Honestly, the break would be nice too. Closest thing to a vacation she'd ever be likely to get aside from the whole time spent in prison thing.

FIT: Faith is a very physical creature. She's horrible with expressing her emotions unless she’s extremely comfortable with someone, and even then it’s pretty hit or miss. Instead, she lets the things buried deep down inside find the surface through physicality. Fighting for one, fucking for another. It’s her default setting. Where she has trouble trusting people enough to connect like a regular person would 98% of the time, she connects in other ways. Usually between the sheets. It's brief, limited, and that lowers the chances of her having to open herself up to potential hurt. A place where that physical connection was required wouldn't faze her in the least because it's how she already operates on a personal level. Knowing what someone’s motives were, having a clear cut and defined reason for any potential interest (necessity) would go a long way to putting her at ease. Sex is an outlet for Faith. It may not keep a city or town going, but it helps keep her going when everything else is just too much. All the dancing in the world can’t chase away certain personal demons like the slide of skin on skin can. The act alone is like an anchor that essentially tethers her to the moment-- and she very definitely lives in the moment. While most of her encounters are brief, throwaway things, she’s not incapable of forming attachments. When she does make a connection with someone, when she takes the chance and opens up, she's fiercely loyal and incredibly protective… sometimes to her own detriment. Those connections usually aren’t sexual in nature.

ANYTHING ELSE? Faith is a Vampire Slayer so there’s more than meets the eye physically. Despite her relatively petite build, Slayers, while human, are imbued with the "essence of a pure demon". This grants her superhuman senses, strength, agility, resilience and speed in the fight against all the nasties that enjoy making meals of the unsuspecting human populace. It also means she heals faster than a regular human would-- which is ideal considering how much time she spends in life or death situations on a daily basis. Slayers occasionally receive prophetic dreams in the few hours they sleep and suffer from horrendous nightmares, often "living" the deaths of those that have come before and since, after Buffy did her trick with the Scythe and activated all the potentials. It's been theorized that they get stronger with age which is funny considering that Slayers used to have a much shorter lifespan back when it was just one at a time. That strength is mostly metaphysical. Aside from a particularly comfortable pair of leather pants (her ass looks amazing in them, thank you very much) there isn't anything she's really attached to that she'd need to bring with her. It’s one of the unexpected side benefits of spending the formative years of your life living like a nomad.
